Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Construction
Hamilton | $130,000 Base +
Our client is a highly respected, commercial construction business that has built an outstanding reputation for delivering bespoke commercial projects throughout the wider Waikato region. Specialising in structural steel construction and architecturally designed commercial buildings, they continue to grow and are now looking to add an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to their close-knit Hamilton team.

About the Role
Working alongside an experienced commercial team, you'll take ownership of the financial management of multiple commercial construction projects from tender through to final account.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing estimates and cost plans.
- Procurement and subcontractor management.
- Contract administration.
- Variations, progress claims and payment schedules.
- Cost forecasting and project reporting.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Supporting successful project delivery while protecting commercial outcomes.
To be considered for this position you must have:
- A minimum of 3 years' proven New Zealand commercial Quantity Surveying experience - The client will not consider anything less
- Experience delivering commercial construction projects - Exposure to structural steel and bespoke commercial buildings will be highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of NZ construction contracts and commercial practices.
- Excellent communication both written and verbal
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work within a collaborative team environment.

- You do not have at least three years of New Zealand commercial Quantity Surveying experience.
- You are unable to demonstrate successful delivery of commercial construction projects within New Zealand.
