Job description

Mattress Assembly - General Labourer

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mattress components including springs, foam layers, padding, and covers using manual and powered tools.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment such as quilting machines, gluing stations, tape-edge machines, and cutting tools.
  • Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Follow production plans and work orders to build mattresses accurately and efficiently.
  • Measure, cut, and fit materials according to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, following safety protocols and proper material handling procedures.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine or assembly issues and report larger problems to supervisors.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
