Pharmaceutical Production Operator

The Company

Our client is a modern and forward-thinking pharmaceutical company who manufactures medicines for New Zealand's health sector. They have a modern, Medsafe GMP approved facility in Christchurch. A well-equipped recreation and staff resting area as well as on-site parking are available. This is a rapidly growing business who is looking to scale up and expand their capacity in this highly demanded and essential industry.

The Role

You will be involved in the daily production of medicines - this is both a manual and automated process where you will be picking, preparing, checking and mixing various ingredients and materials according to requirements.

You will be working in a cleanroom environment with some of the strictest hygiene and safety requirements. You will be required to wear the correct PPE and following SOPs at all times, and you will be cleaning and disinfecting equipment regularly to ensure there are no contaminations. Quality Assurance is a large part of the role, including performing various checks and documentation.

We are ideally looking for someone who has worked in highly regulated production environment, such as food, dairy or pharmaceutical manufacturing. Alternatively, if you have studied in a biomedical or related field, or have good experience practising in a lab environment, it would also be suitable. Full training will be provided. Attitude and willingness to learn are keys.

The working hours are 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. This is a Temporary role with the potential to go permanent.

In summary, the requirements are,

• Hands-on production experience, ideally from a highly regulated industry such as food, dairy or pharmaceutical
• Or a recent qualification in biomedical, pharmacy or similar
• Meticulous and attention to detail
• Adherence to Health and Safety and SOPs
• Willingness to learn and work well as a team
